Command the Skies over the Amman FIR

Welcome to the premium air traffic control simulator specialized exclusively for Jordanian airspace. Take control of the Terminal Control Area (TMA), manage approaches, coordinate arrivals, and guide real-world commercial flights safely to the runways of Queen Alia International (OJAI) and Marka Airport (OJAM).

Jordan Terminal Control Areas (TMA)

🇯🇴

Queen Alia International (OJAI)

The primary international gateway of Jordan, located in Amman. Coordinates approach operations on parallel runways 08L/26R and 08R/26L, managing dense airline traffic from regional and global hubs.

✈️

Amman Civil Airport (OJAM)

Located in Marka, eastern Amman. Serves regional, private charter, and military flights. Control arrivals utilizing Runway 06/24 and coordinate traffic crossing the busy capital airspace.

🌴

King Hussein Intl (OJAQ)

Jordan's southern red-sea gateway in Aqaba. Manage arrivals descending through mountain passes to land on Runway 01/19, dealing with unique topographical conditions.

📡

Amman FIR Space (OJAC)

The entire flight information region boundaries, managed with VOR-DME navaids (Amman, Qatrana, Aqaba) and virtual waypoints. Real-time REST API serves all navigational points.

Operational Approach Procedures

1

Radar Contact

Identify arrivals entering the FIR border. Verify altitude, speed, and callsign status on the active flights board.

2

Vectoring & Speed

Instruct aircraft to turn to target headings, descend to capture altitudes, and adjust speeds to maintain safe separation.

3

Localizer Capture

Align the aircraft with the runway landing cone at an intercept angle under 35 degrees and below 5,000 feet, then clear the ILS approach.

4

Handoff to Tower

Once established on the glideslope and approaching the threshold, execute a handoff to the Tower frequency for landing clearance.

Airspace FAQ

What is the Amman FIR?
The Amman Flight Information Region (FIR) covers the entire sovereign airspace of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Approach and Terminal controllers coordinate all civil and military flights within this region.
How do I capture the ILS?
To capture the Instrument Landing System (ILS) localizer: select an aircraft, vector it so its intercept angle is less than 35 degrees relative to the runway heading, ensure its altitude is 5,000 ft or below, and click the "Clear ILS" button.
Is the navigational data dynamic?
Yes. All airports, runway headings, lengths, ILS frequencies, NAVAIDs, and restricted area boundaries are loaded dynamically from the Node.js database API. Admins can add or edit airspace features in real-time.
How do I hear pilot responses?
Ensure speech synthesis is enabled in your browser, and turn on the Sound feedback using the speaker icon in the radar simulator control panel. You will hear authentic speech feedback for all controller clearances.
